Bottom scribe is the term used when a wall cabinet has been reduced in height - from the bottom - without a change in door height. A bottom scribe is often used for underpanels, and/or a finger pull option.

The above image is an example of a cabinet with a bottom scribe. This is often used in conjunction with an underpanel to create a fingerpull.
